JinkoSolar Holding Co., Ltd. (Shnaghai, China) on June 5th, 2015 announced that it has supplied 33.67 MW of solar photovoltaic (PV) modules to Rijn Capital for a project in Chile.
Rijn Capital is a Chilean renewable energy company that develops, acquires, builds, and operates a portfolio of power generation and transmission facilities. Rijn Capital owns a pipeline under development of nearly 500 MW´s of solar PV projects in Chile and was established by Rijn Capital BV (Netherlands).
Completed and connected to the grid in April 2015, the San Pedro III PV plant phase I project is located in the Antofagasta Region of northern Chile.
110,400 PV modules to produce approximately 100 GWh of solar power annually
The project secured long term financing from CorpBanca, a local commercial bank, with EPC services rendered by EFACEC, the largest electric power group in Portugal. The project uses 110,400 JinkoSolar PV modules that will produce approximately 100 GWh of solar power per year.
