Renusol solar PV module clamp nominated for the Intersolar Award

The new RS1 universal clamp developed by mounting systems manufacturer Renusol GmbH (Cologne, Germany) has been nominated for this year’s Intersolar Award in the category “Photovoltaics”.

The product is the world’s first clamp for mounting photovoltaic modules that can be used as either a mid or end clamp, the company reports. Since only one clamp is needed instead of two, planning, ordering materials and mounting are all made noticeably easier, Renusol emphasizes.

The innovation award pays tribute to outstanding solutions produced by the solar industry and is being presented at the Intersolar exhibition for the eighth time on June 10th, 2015 in Munich, Germany.

“We are very proud that our RS1 clamp has been selected as one of the finalists for the Intersolar Award 2015. We have put a lot of energy into the development of this new clamp and used an innovative manufacturing process that is usually employed in the automotive industry; it’s the first truly universal clamp on the market that really does fit everywhere,” explains Stefan Liedtke, Managing Director of Renusol.

“The product has enabled us to make the work of installers markedly easier. Now the user always has the correct number of clamps on site, thus planning and installation becomes much more convenient.“ Using the RS1 pre-assembly work is no longer required, he notes.
