Former SolarCity CFO Bob Kelly joins Mosaic's board of directors

On May 19th, the residential solar financing platform, Mosaic (Oakland, California, U.S.) announced that Robert D. Kelly is joining the company as a member of the company's Board of Directors. Mr. Kelly recently retired as SolarCity's Chief Financial Officer. Kelly joins current Mosaic board members Tom Dinwoodie and Lisa Gansky.

“Bob has unparalleled solar finance experience, including bringing SolarCity public and achieving the solar industry's first securitization. His accomplishments have accelerated the growth and adoption of solar nationwide,” said Billy Parish, CEO of Mosaic.

“I'm thrilled to be joining Mosaic's board of directors; the company is a leader in the residential solar finance space, offering the best loan products and a proven technology platform. I look forward working with Mosaic to help guide their successful expansion,” noted Bob Kelly.

Bob Kelly successfully led SolarCity through its 2012 initial public offering. He has held a variety of senior financial management roles in the energy field. Prior to SolarCity, Kelly served chief financial officer of Calera, a clean technology company focused on reducing carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions by converting CO2 into useful materials.

Earlier, at independent power producer Calpine, Bob was chief financial officer and executive vice president, managing that company's IPO. Kelly was instrumental in growing Calpine's electricity generation capacity from 1 megawatt (MW) to more than 25,000 MW.
