Yingli Solar reaches milestone: Over 13 GW of PV panels delivered world-wide

Yingli Green Energy Holding Company Limited (Baoding, China), known as "Yingli Solar," on May 5th, 2015 announced that it reached more than 13 gigawatts (GW) of cumulative global solar photovoltaic (PV) module deliveries by the end of the first quarter of 2015.

The Company's global fleet can now produce approximately 16 billion kilowatt-hours (kWh) of solar power each year, which is almost enough energy to meet the city of Beijing's residential power consumption in 2014, Yingli Solar emphasizes.

"We are incredibly proud of reaching this historic milestone, which is a testament to both our innovative, high quality solar products and to our dedicated pursuit of Yingli's mission to bring green energy to all," commented Liansheng Miao, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Yingli Green Energy.

In total, solar power produced by all deployed Yingli Solar panels can offset nearly 9 million tons of carbon emissions each year, which is equivalent to taking about 1.7 million cars off the road.
